In its simplest form, the B200 error indicates that the print head is malfunctioning. Print heads are important because they are responsible for distributing ink from cartridges on to the paper. It is common for printer heads to be problematic, especially those that are cheaper.

You may be unable to print until you clear the Canon printer error b200. Let’s take a closer look at its causes so we can better understand this error.

Several users were unable to use their Canon printer lately since they saw the error on their computers. This is a hardware-related error. It indicates a malfunctioning print head, but sometimes it is a false error.

My Pixma ix6820 threw this code a few hours ago. First thing I did was clean the heads. Fortunately, it is a snap removing the head tray from this printer. I had watched a bunch of YouTube videos on how to clean the heads on Canons, so I kinda knew what to expect. At any rate, I feel confident that I cleaned the heads properly. I might should have waited a little longer than I did before reinstalling them, but I made sure at least that the head tray’s exterior was completely dry. Anyway, reinstalled it, and I’m still looking at the blinking lights — 10x blinks means B200. So, I pull the head tray again to make sure there wasn’t a misalignment or anything. Really, installation is dead simple and I don’t see how anybody could get it wrong. So I reinstalled the head tray the only way it looks like it will fit. Again, the 10x blinks.  Sigh.

Hello:
I just want to say that I solved my Canon B200 error through this thread, and I signed up just to say “Thank you!” I have a Canon MX892 Multi-Printer, only about 18 months old (new cost about $350 now). I ran ink low, and got the error. I worked on all solutions found on the internet for the past week. Finally, I took it in to the repair shop, our local Cartridge World, left it overnight for inspection, and the guy said it was junk. Well, I was going to keep the old printer, since I decided to buy a good used Canon MX892, and then I could use the brand new inks I just bought for $50, and perhaps the print head. I sent my friend back to pick it up, and he came back with the printer and inks, but not the print head, so I sent him back for that, as well. I decided to soak print head one more time overnight in alcohol. This morning, I once again replaced all inks in the printer and the print head, and still B200 error.

Let’s get to the bottom of this Canon b200 error by discussing all possible causes and solutions.

What is the cause of the Canon B200 error?

Open the Control Panel by clicking on Start.

It is essentially a sign that there is a problem with the print head when a B200 error occurs. Ink is distributed from cartridges to paper through the print head, so the print head is a crucial component of the printer. Especially in low-cost printers, print heads are notoriously problematic.
