Iexplorer.exe version 9.0.8112.16421 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed due to an error (04/22/2014 11:14:16 PM) (Source: Application Hang) (User: )Description: The application stopped working with Windows. In the Action Center control panel, check the problem history to see if more information is available about the problem.

Launch Cmd as an Administrator

By identifying the user as an administrator before executing the command, the problem can be solved. There are steps to guide you through this process.

  1. Keyboard shortcut: Windows.
  2. Press Enter but do not type cmd.
  3. Right-click on CMD in the list of programs that appears.
  4. Select “Run as administrator” and click “Next” at the prompt that appears.
  5. Run the regsvr32 command by typing regsvr32 “file path”. Replace file path with the actual file path without the quotation marks.

You should be able to access the file now, if everything goes well. If the file path does not work correctly, verify that it is complete and correct.

Disabling antivirus programs

A firewall or antivirus program can interfere with the registration process, causing the error message to appear even if you have administrator privileges.

  1. In the lower right corner, click the antivirus icon twice.
  2. You can disable the antivirus by selecting it from the antivirus screen after it has opened.
  3. Choose the option that is most suitable for your needs. Most viruses can be disabled for 10, 20, or 30 minutes before activated automatically.

In addition, make sure you disable your antivirus program and run regsvr32 with appropriate administrative permissions.

When DLLRegisterServer was called with error code 0x80070005, the DLL file was loaded, but it failed.

The permissions on one or more registry keys have most likely been modified by someone (or some application), preventing access to them even if you are a local administrator.

Files or folders (usually cache files) can’t be accessed because permissions are denied.

Tip: Antivirus is important for the security of your computer as it can protect it from various threats. Therefore, it is recommended that you disable antivirus as soon as the problem is resolved.

Disabling UAC

You may be able to resolve the issue by disabling user account control. Deactivating user account control disables the system’s confirmation of administrator rights when it is enabled.

As a result of the fundamental weaknesses that user account control introduces, it should be disabled after the registration process is complete. This will ensure that your computer is more secure.

  1. Choose Run as administrator from the right-click menu on cmd after clicking Start.
  2. By copying and pasting the following command, you can disable UAC.
  3. REG_DWORD /t EnableLUA /d 0 /f: reg.exe: add HKLM/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Policies/System /v EnableLUA
  4. At the command prompt, type the following command to enable UAC.
    It is necessary to add HKLM/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Policies/System /v EnableLUA /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f to the registry after running reg.exe
  5. Following the steps in method 1, restart your computer and run the REGSVR32 command. You should now be able to run your computer without problems.

If the 32-bit DLL is in the %systemroot%System32 folder, move it to the %systemroot%SysWoW64 folder. Then run the following command: %systemroot%SysWoW64regsvr32 (full path to DLL). This will fix the regsvr32.exe error.

Make sure the binary is saved in the specified path, or perform debugging to check for problems with the binary or dependent .dll. The regsvr32 module failed to load.
