Can’t Load Xpcom

Firefox won’t open if you get an error message like Couldn’t load XPCOM. Here’s how you fix it. This error can only be fixed by uninstalling Mozilla Firefox and deleting the Mozilla Firefox entries from the Registry and C drive.

The Mozilla website has a “Download” button that you can click on. Once it’s done, I restarted my computer. Once that was done, I clicked the “Mozilla Firefox” icon in my toolbar, which opened the program. It’s frustrating to have to use other browsers while “Firefox” is not working. I couldn’t believe how much spam and popups this exposed me to. Thanks again a lot.

It was inconvenient at home to have three extensions disabled when Firefox upgraded to version 5. But in a business setting, it would be unacceptable. It’s really expensive to fix and update that shit. I would also ditch Firefox if I had an extension that required thorough testing every six weeks.

Knowing how to fix Firefox problems is important because they will happen sooner or later.
