It is easy to create stunning videos in Sony Vegas because you can do so much creative thing with them. Even with professional tools like Vegas, there can be technical problems at any time. In Vegas, users often report importing, rendering, freezing, and image shifting problems. Regardless of which version they use, these problems are common. The “Vegas Pro Startup Error” is just one example.

If you intend to use VEGAS Pro on the same computer as your operating system, make sure you meet the system requirements. For the latest version of VEGAS Pro, these requirements are available here.

This always leads to a boot screen that says “Creating windows…” and VegasPro is not working.

Could anyone assist me with VP18 demo? When I start up, it stops at creating File I/O Manager.

If you get the message “Error code: -59… An error occurred starting VEGAS Pro. There is no license to use this software.”, the software has not been activated. You need to be connected to the internet to activate VEGAS Pro 13.0 build 543 and later (more details here). The error can also be triggered by a change in hardware or a BIOS update/reset. In such a case, go to your MAGIX account > My Products > Show More Details > Deactivate, then deactivate the existing device. The next time you start VEGAS Pro, it should accept and remember your new activation. Note that you can use VEGAS Pro (14.0 and later) simultaneously on 2 devices.

Sony Vegas Not Responding

In addition to assigning a higher priority to Sony Vegas, another way to fix it is to change the application name. Users can set priority for the applications they install on their computers. Sony Vegas uses more system resources and rights if you give it a higher priority:

Many events may have caused errors in the system files. An incomplete installation, incomplete uninstallation, incorrect uninstallation of applications or hardware. It can also be caused when your computer is recovering from a virus or adware/spyware attack, or when your computer is turned off incorrectly. All of the above processes can cause Windows system file entries to be deleted or corrupted. This corrupted system file results in missing and misconnected information and files necessary for the application to function properly.

Check your Internet connection

It is important to make sure you are connected to the Internet before uninstalling and reinstalling the program. Regardless of whether your computer is connected to the Internet, the application requires an Internet connection to run. You can move on to the next solution if you don’t. Check your Ethernet cable. Make sure it is disabled in the adapter options as well.

Vegas Pro Not Responding

In my desktop, I have a Windows 10 PC with an i9 NVIDIA 3070 GPU. I am editing 4K animation in Vegas Pro 19. It keeps saying Not Responding. I’ve been watching all of the videos on YouTube on fixing crashes and not responding. None of them have worked. I’ve also been unable to use any of the effects on a clip either. Could you please let me know how to fix these two problems?

You may need a more powerful tool to scan and repair your system if Sony Vegas crashes due to corrupted files. For basic troubleshooting, you can run the sfc /scan now command. You can use Restoro, one of the more powerful tools for repairing your system, if it does not fix your problem.

Vegas Pro should run again if the problem has been resolved.

Reactivating Vegas Pro

The following steps will help you solve the problem if you’ve recently updated your BIOS or changed your hardware. Once the program is deactivated, you can reactivate it with a serial key.

  1. Open the MAGIX web browser and login to your account.
  2. In My Products, click View more details on the Vegas Pro version you are using.
  3. If the problem occurs on a specific computer, scroll down and disable the activations.
  4. Once that is done, uninstall the software.
  5. From your browser’s Activations tab, download it again.
  6. Use the activation key once more after you have installed the software.
  7. Resolve the issue if it persists.

Reinstalling Vegas Pro

You may be experiencing this problem if you are using the trial version of the software. You should remove Vegas Pro completely from your system in such a case and try to reinstall it. You can also follow the above steps to resolve this issue if you are using Steam’s version of the software.

  1. The Run dialog box is opened by pressing Windows + R together.
  2. By pressing Enter, type regedit.
  3. Find Sony Creative Software in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE – > SOFTWARE – > Wow6432Node.
  4. All entries in Vegas Pro should be deleted.
  5. If it is installed in another Steam library folder, go there (if it is in a different folder, open it in file explorer).
  6. You should delete the folder for Vegas Pro.
  7. The software needs to be downloaded and re-installed.

Note: If you cannot remove the entries, you may need to uninstall the software via Steam first, and then follow the steps below. If you delete the program first, the Vegas Pro folder may no longer be in the shared directory, but rechecking won’t hurt, will it?
