It is possible that Evernote won’t sync with other devices if you don’t see a message about sync, or you won’t even see the message.

Evernote and OneNote both offer the ability to organize notes across multiple platforms, sync them, and create new ones. There are plenty of note-taking and organizational features in both applications, and they are cross-platform as well. You can use both apps in the browser. They are available for Windows, MacOS, iOS, iPad, and Android. What factors should you consider when making your decision between the two apps?

It is possible for notes to go to the Trash when they are created and deleted in Evernote before they sync. You receive an Evernote error message when trying to create new notes when deleted files try to sync. Additionally, the error can appear intermittently and can be extremely annoying. You can resolve this issue by deleting the files that you have deleted from the “Trash” and are now in there.

Evernote Problems

You may have trouble closing Evernote when it is not working. Force quit the application and then relaunch it.

What’s causing Evernote not to sync

What's causing Evernote not to sync

If you see notes that are inconsistent or Evernote considers corrupt, you probably won’t be happy. If you see these notes, you won’t be pleased with them. When you receive an error message stating that a note is corrupted, it is usually just an error.

Is Evernote Down

The test we perform simulates what an actual web browser (e.g. Safari, Chrome, Firefox) would do when trying to open the website. We check the evernote.com server to see if it is responding and we do this from a region near you.

Several thousand notes can be handled pretty easily by Evernote. Scaling from tens of thousands to tens of thousands is quite seamless. With more users and notes (both in number and size), it will become more tedious. You may lose patience because syncing a large number of notes will take a long time if your account has many notes, stacks, folders, etc.

Evernote Status

A user account linked to Feedly Cloud will have its Evernote credentials removed.

There could be a problem with Evernote’s servers that makes the app not sync to your devices. As you probably already know, when you sync, your latest notes are sent to the app’s servers and then downloaded to your devices.

Evernote Sync

1.2 Select the Settings option from the menu icon.

If you are having trouble syncing a note from your Evernote trash, make sure there are no notes left in the app garbage can.
